Happy Easter & Spring Colour

Outfit

Skirt - Shara (made by me)
Blouse - George Asda
Shoes & Bag - Dorothy Perkins
Necklace - Market Stall

Happy Easter everyone! I'll be honest, my Easter did not start off great at all, BUT the day got better and now I am feeling good. This time of year like Christmas always make me think of what's important - family, good friends, and most importantly remembering that Jesus died and rose again for us, so when I really put things into perspective, I shouldn't be complaining I should be thankful. This outfit today is a real celebration of colour, and although spring has not quite sprung I thought, why not just amp up the volume on the colour.

Today I opted to wear this lovely purple blazer that I picked up from Primark which instantly makes an outfit look smarter, and is a great piece to wear to a church service, a dinner out with the family or to an event you're going to.

This gorgeous fuschia pink blouse is great for the spring months, looks great with this skirt and would equally look just as good with a pair of black jeans for a more casual look.

This fabulous circle skirt was actually made by meeeee, as you all know (if you often read my blog) I'm a fashion designer and regularly make my own designs. I just thought that this fun skirt with a crazy print was a great way to celebrate the day.

I decided to go for accessories that were the opposite colours from the blouse to really make them stand out and pop. The trick to wearing lots of colours at once, is to choose one block colour and include tiny bits of other colours through items like accessories.

I'm obsessed with this clutch, I bought this a while back from good ole Dorothy Perkins, and it has served me well yaasssss! It ties in nicely with the purple from the skirt, and my nail polish.

I haven't worn these lovelies for a looonng time, and I thought today was the day that they should come out of the archive. I particularly love the bows and polka dots on these which just make them playful. They look amazing from the side, BUT the shot I got of them was not happening loool so I will do another shot from the side and put it up soon.

In the mean time have a good Easter everyone! mwahh xx :)

Fashion Fix Friday: The Spring Lust List

So yesterday I was having my usual mooch around to see what the stores had in for their new Ss16 collections. I always get excited for new season in the high street shops that I love, it's good to see how they've translated runways looks into ready to wear pieces for the everyday fabulous fashionista on a budget like myself. (In my mind my budget is limitless)

Although it would actually help if England didn't still feel like an ice box in March *sigh* (O the woes of British weather) I decided to put together some items I am currently crushing on and hopefully will soon own for when it gets warm.

My Spring Lust List - 3 outfits with items that are all interchangeable

I love all of these items, and I kind of have a thing for stripes *sigh*. The main thing to remember ladies is the key to shopping smart is to buy in outfits so you're not struggling to put random items together 2.) I would advise that like I have done above, buy items that you can mix and match.

Ladies if you would like any personal styling advice, write to me and I will be more than willing to help :)

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOM! - GIFTS!

Gifts

Fragrance - Zara
Roses - Asda
Picture Frame - Wilko

It's that time of year again where I celebrate the most selfless and fabulous woman on earth I know (and that I take after very well), my mother. I literally don't even have the words to describe how amazing my mom is, but my mother and father are the reason why I am such a go getter in life and why I 100% believe that I can achieve anything that I put my mind to.

I always believe that when it comes around to Mothers Day you really don't need to spend a fortune to make your mom happy, the thought and sentiment behind the gift is far more important, so me and the family got her small gifts that we knew she would love.

Zara's own fragrance 'Oriental' smells gorgeous and was £7.99

My moms favourite flowers are yellow roses, usually bought for her by my dad :)

This picture frame from 'Wilko' is great for creating memories. (£2.50)

Overall my mom is the best thing since sliced bread and I would not be the same without her, I'm convinced that when God made her he destroyed the mould because she is truly one of a kind and I'm honored to be called her daughter (hhheeyyyyyy) *surfboard* lol. I love you mom, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! XXX :)

Throw back picture of me and my mom in 2012
