The Transition Coat: Grey Outer Wear & Pink Socks

Outfit

Coat: H&M
Shirt: George Asda
Treggings: Top Shop
Socks: Top Shop
Shoes: Aldo
Clutch: Dorothy Perkins

Although it is nearly the end of September and supposedly in the full swing of Autumn there are hardly any leaves on the ground and the sun is beaming down, not that I'm complaining, but the chill in the air means that I still have to wear a light jacket.

I wanted to wear some structured outer wear today and this coat from H&M is perfect and light to combat that chill in the air without making me to hot. I love the contrast of the tweed and pleather and  pushed the sleeves up so I could show off my shirt cuffs.

My blue shirt was originally white and I decided to dye it using Bahama blue Dylon dye for a pop of colour. My outfit is quite dark today so the shirt makes the rest of the outfit come alive.

When all else fails I wear my trusty treggings from TopShop, these have served me so well over the last two years, they are so comfy and go with everything.

My accessories I always keep bright from Jewellery company LBD Gems, and my clutch from Dorothy Perkins takes my outfit from casual to evening.

I'm obsessed with the ankle boots from Aldo, I call them my power boots. My frilly socks from Top Shop keep my feet warm, and they also make my outfit less serious and more fun.

I firmly believe that every woman should have a pair of power boots in her shoe collection. I literally feel like I can accomplish anything wearing these shoes - no seriously I feel like super woman - GO ME! lol :)

Birmingham Fashion Weekend - The Ultimate Vegas Outfit!

Outfit
Skirt - House of Holland
Top - Missguided
Choker - LBDGems
Clutch - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Zara
Earrings - Aldo

This weekend I had a plethora of things going on, from my first radio fashion feature on the BBC WM radio station with Richie Anderson, to attending Birmingham International fashion week, where we see some of the finest designers from across the Midlands showcasing their SS16 collections.

A couple of weeks ago Vegas.com set me the challenge of putting together the 'Ultimate Vegas Outfit' for a day out at one of their premier resorts. I of course took full advantage of the opportunity and as I was already attending fashion week, it was a great excuse to dress to to impress.

To me Las Vegas screams glitz and glamour so I of course opted for this fabulous gathered circle skirt by 'House of Holland' to create a real statement. The jacquard print on the skirt has a beautiful metallic finish which is very reflective of the all the bright lights in Las Veags and the decor of the hotels, making this suitable to wear out to dinner or the casino.

I wanted to go short on my top half because my skirt was making such a statement, so to keep everything in proportion I went with this marvelous red velvet bralet from Missguided. The bralet is quite sexy and reminds me very much of the red carpets that you would see in Las Vegas, but to keep it classy I put my black blazer from H&M over the top.

Advice: Ladies if you want to look sexy but are going from maybe a party into a more formal setting. Get a blazer, a blazer is the easiest way to make any outfit look a bit smarter as it adds structure to the body.

I decided to go with bold and glitzy accessories, after all if you are going to go to a fashion show, Las Vegas or to a party then you may as well sparkle. For my eye shadow this week I opted for a pink eye dust and blue eye dust in the tear ducts for an ombre effect.

My Choker From LBD Gems draws attention away from my clevage and up to my neck to finish off the outfit nicely.

Last but not least my fabulous shoes from Zara have this amazing strap detail across them which adds another fierce design detail to my outfit. Overall I had a blast wearing this outfit - YAAASSSSSS! :)
