The Festival Look: Maxi skirt & Crop Top

Outfit

Crop Top: TopShop
Maxi Skirt: Primark
Bag: Urban Outfitters
Ring: LBD Gems
Necklace: Dorothy Perkins
Floral Sunglasses: Ebay
Shoes: H&M

On the 19th of July one of the biggest Caribbean festivals known as 'Simmer Down' took place in Birmingham, and whilst at first I wasn't going to go, I was glad I went. The sun was shining, reggae music was blasting and the food was on point!

I opted for a typical festival look today which consisted of my Primark maxi skirt which I love because of the colour pop of cobalt blue, and the drama from the high split.

As you can probably tell from other posts I have done I realllllyyyyyy like bralets and crop tops. The trick with garments like bralets is, when you go short on the top, go long on the bottom to balance it out. These £10 bralets from Top Shop are easy to wear and they come in lots of different colours.

I wanted a bright eye to go with the whole festival look, and used the Sleek 'Acid' eye shadow Palette to achieve this by mixing the pink and green.

Although this outfit is quite simple, I jazzed it up with loud and colourful accessories which include this gorgeous necklace from Dorothy Perkins, my floral sunglasses from 'Ebay', my trusty cut out Africa earrings from 'Ana Is Arts' and my go to statement rings from LBD Gems.

A draw string bag like this from Urban Outfitters is perfect for a festival its not as big and formal as a handbag, but its not as small as a bum bag either. Its a great size for fitting my camera and essential, has a very relaxed look about it, and most importanly is out of the way on my shoulder, or can be worn as a ruck sack, and at £6 in the sale - BARAGAIN! lol :)

Levi shorts & Tank Top

Outfit

Levi Shorts - Urban Outfitters
Necklace - LBD Gems
Tank Top  -  H&M
Blazer - H&M
Shoes - Zara
Sunglasses - Primark

Hi guys! Last week the weather was absolutely beautiful in Birmingham for a few days. There was a heatwave that hit England so everyone took full advantage of the well deserved summer sun.

I didn't want to make to much fuss with this outfit so I took it back to basics with some classic denim Levi shorts from Urban Outfitters. Perfect for wearing to the park and for festivals.

My tank top from H&M compliments the shorts perfectly, its not to fussy and just a go to summer top that nearly anyone could wear. I have this top in quite a few colours, they're only £3.99 and they are good to wear underneath low cut shirts as well skater skirts, or with a pair of jeans.

I especially love the shredded edges, brown stitching and patch pockets which create more of a distressed and vintage look to the shorts. My necklace by LBD Gems pulls everything together with the sparkling gemstones giving off a very earthy vibe.

I was really trying to edit the pictures down, but I had so many good shots I had to put this last one in there - I was definitely working it and having a Naomi Campbell moment lol.

I loooovvve these laser cut shoes from Zara that I grabbed in their sale for £19.99. If you want to know more about what I think about these shoes, check out my shoe haul video here

The Last Day - White Bikini & Goodbyes

Outfit
Bikini - H&M
Fringe Top - Primark
Sunglasses - Ebay

Yesterday was bitter sweet moment for me in Tunisia, even as I'm writing this now I feel very emotional. I was really looking forward to my holiday, but unfortunately I just happened to be in Tunisia at the same time as the tragic attacks that happened.

This meant that my holiday had to be cut short and I had to be put on an emergency flight. But before I went I wanted to spent just one last time near the sea. Despite what happened Tunisia is soooooo beautiful and the locals are lovely...its just a shame that this awful event has happened.

One thing I realised out here was how much I love scenery, how much I appreciate rich colours, how much I love the being in the sea, and just literally being able to walk around in a bikini every day.

Although I am extreamley dissapointed to not have had a full holiday, I've realised that I definitely want to travel more and experience life. You really do have to love life, live every day to the fullest, and thank God that he gives you the opportunity each day to have have life, when some one else would love too.

So with that being said, I promise to live my life to the fullest, include God in my decisions and enjoy this journey called my life. Until next time Tunisia - this is goodbye xxx
